Dividend Stocks in a Rising Interest Rate Environment

We are admittedly a bit biased towards dividend paying stocks, so it won't be a surprise to read our review of the dividend paying space and its relative underperformance year-to-date.

We like the double-pronged approach to buying quality businesses that pay tax effective dividends that can grow as well as providing the potential upside of the shares themselves.

As we look at the valuations of this space and the relatively muted outlook for interest rates in Canada, we are compelled to add to quality dividend paying stocks opportunistically.
